A touch of home for the warmest welcome
Zali is the realization of a dream, 30 years in the making... In a kitchen, in a home, in Beirut –a family that, just like every other family in the world, was convinced that their mother’s cooking, was the best.

Our chef: The heartbeat of inspiration
And so, Liza, an anagram of Zali, went from full-time mother and grandmother to full-time chef. Our chef is Lebanese-Armenian and has lived most of her life in Lebanon. For so long, she loved testing her own recipes and photographing dishes. But her passion did not leave her home’s nest until Zali offered her that opportunity. Now, her homegrown happiness and passion for cooking are for you and the world to taste!

In all our dishes are flavors that have made the journey all the way from Lebanon
In all our dishes are flavors that have made the journey all the way from Lebanon. You can take some of them back home!
We call them “Mouneh”, an Arabic word for pantry provisions: a variety of homemade jars with preserved and dried delicacies for you to buy and try. They are prepared by our chef or produced by farmers back home. “Mouneh”is a Lebanese tradition of preserving food across the seasons.
